Best Cruising Hack Challenge
How it works
In the spirit of Jack’s Tool Time, share your best hack, tip, or trick that could make life easier, better, or more fun while cruising. Entries will be uploaded to a website where members will vote to determine the winners, with prizes awarded at The Summit. The best tips will also become part of First Mate’s knowledge base.
Your entry can be:
- 🎥 A video or 📸 photos
- ⚓ Something you use aboard your boat, or something you could use aboard a boat if you’re not cruising yet
- 🔧 Mechanical or anything else that makes life while cruising easier
- 💡 A clever solution, shortcut, workaround, easier way to test something, organization idea, home school, galley, or dinghy trick, maintenance tip, or “how-to”
Show us how it works! Demonstrate it, explain it, or show us how to do it.
Shorter videos are encouraged, but you can use up to 5 minutes to show, demonstrate, or explain your hack. Limit 2 entries per person (not per family). Open to all ages.
The submission period ends November 1, and voting begins November 2.
If it’s something that could make another cruiser say, “Why didn’t I think of that?”, we want to see it!
